To be fair, with the reputation she had she probably does.

My dear Dad had a friend all his life called Miles High. Really!
As a general rule I’m not fond of names that represent a quality, not often heard thankfully - things like Diligence, Patience etc. I don’t mean to offend anyone who uses these names, I just wonder if it’s a wish from the parents for the child’s life?

I don’t go for very unusual names, I like some but I’ve never been brave enough to go for them but I wouldn’t pick them most popular either.

Although saying that, I choose Georgia for our daughter, which wasn’t on the 20 most popular list that year, but she still ended up with 2 others in her year and 2 in the year above her at school
I have to admit when a new family baby arrived and was called Olivia I rolled my eyes.

It's a beautiful name, but surely now it's been on the number 1 spot for 5 years we can think of something else 😂

I love more traditional names mostly. I love Lydia for a girl, I think it’s such a lovely name.

I’ve always liked Aidan for a boy, not sure why.

Not that I’ll be having children, by choice, but I guess they could be future cats names!

My grandad once knew a man named “Richard sole” and if you shorten it to “R. Sole” well…

I have to say I’m a traditionalist when it comes to names

Only because myself and John have really normal names so it’s Louise John and James

Imagine if it was Louise, John and Felicia

If we have another I might throw the boat out and call him Jude

I also like Faye for a girl.

Another thing for me was thinking about their profession, Dr James Jones that sounds okay but Dr Felicia Jones
Nah

Sorry I’m a bit Katie Hopkins when it comes to names 🤣

She was mad tho to be fair, she thought naming a child after a place or flower was common despite her own girls being India and Poppy. 😂

I like proper names rather than words being repurposed in an effort to give a child a unique name.

Years ago I worked for a couple of weeks opening postal votes ahead of a general election. We worked in pairs and the lady I was paired with was called Hailey Bailey.
