This trip report is becoming part of my holiday routine. Absolutely loving it. We're planning On going to Florida in 2 years time and my brother who is on the the spectrum is coming with us so it's been really useful to read your report. He's hypersensitive to smells too and the heat so I'm taking notes! I look forward to reading more instalments as you continue your holiday. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Thanks for your lovely comments! Sounds like you have your hands full with trying to meet lots of different needs - certainly makes life interesting eh?! People are always amazed at how different Sonny and Elliott are - they really are polar opposites in many ways, but both have the same diagnosis!
All the best with finding your daughter a suitable school - it's so hard when they don't quite fit in anywhere. Elliott has been out of school for nearly 3 years at various different times for that reason!
A fab idea to try out Disneyland Paris and a shorter flight first. Our first trip to Disney was in Paris and it definitely helped the boys have a slightly less intense introduction to it! Flights are always such a worry, but they really are more aware and geared up to helping people with 'invisible' disabilities now, so make use of any help you can get. Boarding the plane first is a lifesaver for us! Does your daughter use a wheelchair? Again, another lifesaver - Elliott would not manage the parks without it, although he can walk (and run off! ) perfectly fine!

It's nice to see that it a Florida trip can be done. We went a loooong time ago (2010). It was very difficult but Seren was only 3 then. We have booked a couple of times and then either cancelled or, like this time, postponed to the next year. She would not sit in a wheelchair, unfortunately, she is a runner and would just take the opportunity to run off hahaha! Last time we went, she wasn't diagnosed and we had some difficulty on the plane as we were taking off with her. She got diagnosed just after we got back so I think having the diagnosis will help along with the fact that the airports and airlines are more aware now. Looking forward to reading the rest of your report.

I'm so sorry to hear about your son! Is this Elliott? I was wondering why the report was never finished and it's sad to hear you had to come home sooner.

I saw your youngest one has now also been diagnosed with autism? I don't think she was at the time of this trip, right?

Hope everyone is coping okay and can't wait to read your next report and see how they've all grown up since 2018!
