When will September flights start being cancelled?
I'm booked to fly with BA on September 17th and am quickly coming around to the sad fact I won't be going this year (we have instead put a deposit down to go to DCA in February and to Disney World in July 2021 instead). I know that BA have cancelled their August 2020 flights - well at least via the app you can no longer book LGW-MCO in August which to me says they're cancelled!
On an FB group they stated BA had gotten around to cancelling up to September 8th but now sure how true that is. If our holiday isn't going ahead then myself and my boyfriend want to put that money towards moving out together (this lockdown has shown me I can't live with my parents anymore ) but aren't sure when our flights will get cancelled in order to start looking at places and put deposits down! Does anyone have a rough estimate when this could be? I've never dealt with a cancelled flight before so this is all new to me!

I wish I knew , we are due to fly on 18th September flight only paid in full. I’ve just phoned ba , and got the most unhelpful person ever ( up to this point ba have been fabulous)
BeEn told wait to see if the flight is cancelled, cancel now and loose everything, or if there is a quarantine restriction in place we will have to quarantine on the return( obviously not possible due to work) . Bit miffed as we booked our flight last year , and people booked after us have been able to claim a voucher. I’m sure by tomorrow with the government announcement , this will effect a lot of people, so will be interesting to see any advice people can give. Sorry I couldn’t help Jules

We are due to fly with BA on 9th September and our flight is still going ahead at the moment. I have looked on ba.com and can seen you can still book flights for the first week in September.
I just want to know either way now but like everyone else coming to realisation that we will no longer be going but want to know so we can get the ball rolling for something else. |

Same case here, we book the flights back in October 2019 and they won't do anything for us, even though we booked WITH NO KNOWLEDGE of this virus ever happening. I have called them 3 times now and had no help from them whatsoever! I just want my money back at this point!

We fly on 4th September and I haven't been notified of a cancellation. I am waiting though and I spoke to an advisor last week who said to wait until 14th August before applying for a refund (flydrive).

I just want my money back at this point! We bought the flights in October 2019 and then upgraded the flights at christmas before all of this went worldwide so they currently have £1,600 of my money currently which I would like back at this point!
I want to be able to get on with other things in my life such as getting excited about next years holidays or moving out but currently all the balls are in BA's court currently. They are really putting my life on hold right now!
