If you don’t usually shut the iPad down but leave it in hibernation close it down completely holding the power button down til the shutdown option appears then tap it. Before you start it up again power cycle your hub too.

I tried that but it didn't work, doing the software update worked for me. I'm still convinced it was my older safari browser not liking the loading of the amount of adverts, especially flashing ones , you are way more technical than me so you will have a better knowledge of that theory

I’m still having issues even on my brand spanking new IPad Pro and my updated iPad
And we are at Centre Parcs now and they are both doing it
The new iPad was bought yesterday and set up by an Apple geek in store

I think you are spot on with the software update, some adverts only “like” the newer software versions.
