Character meets and greets coming back!

Not sure if I missed it or not but just seen character meet and greets will be back in November! Really happy to hear this. Just a shame like the borders opening there's no date! Still fantastic news!

I wonder if Disney have considered charging for meet and greets? It is just about the only thing that they seemingly haven’t.

Maybe Mickey's lightning lane will be on IAS instead of Space

I assume you'll have to pay $15 for Genie+ in order to skip the normal queue for some of the meet'n'greets and use the Lightning Lane instead. Some of the characters used to have fastpass lanes.

Wonder if you can take your masks off inside for the photos? Probably not?

They are allowing masks off briefly on DCL for photos. So maybe. But given the promo shot has people in masks, I would assume not.

I see with these meet and greets that you still need to be socially distanced from the characters. So you can't stand next to them, hug them or shake their hands, nor get an autograph from them. You have to be stood 2 metres away from them and wave from a distance.

It's a step in the right direction but things still aren't back to 'normal'.

So all that is changing really is its an official location to meet characters?

More "Watch and Wave" than "Meet and Greet" then
