Genie+ 19th October.

Genie+ is to start at WDW on October 19th. It will start at Disneyland at a later date.

The paid extra rides will start at $7 per person per ride but will vary depending on ride and date. There is no upper limit on price.

Also official confirmation that you do not need to buy Genie+ to buy an IAS pass. So if you're only interested in the headliners, skip out on the base pass. And IAS selection will be 7am for onsite hotels (including S&D) and at park open for everyone else.

I’ll pay at least once for RotR and FoP but will have time to see how it affects standby lines as we don’t go until May.

Classic PR for bad news. Drop the news on a Friday evening and hope it gets buried by Monday.

I assume $7 is going to be the minimum, as Everest is probably the least in demand attraction from the IAS list. Although maybe they'll drop it down to $5 in September on hurricane watch. But $15 for RotR honestly is lower than I thought, figured it would be $20 minimum.
