Nope not at all.

Why not boycott it completely then instead of limiting to one week max only?

Nothing similar to the current Monetary Equivalent.

I have never been sentimental about Walt anyway but I cannot make sense of the “Walt will turn in his grave” comments. No, he will not, Disney was always a business first and foremost, it has never been a theme park charity.

That said, we are not happy with the changes either and it has made us stop and think. But there is no point in thinking of boycotting it, boycotting is something that is done in the hope of making a difference. For every person that decides not to go again, there will always be plenty more people that want to go and who will be going for the first time and be totally accepting of things that we know are changes.

If it doesn’t work for you anymore, then don’t go back, but make that decision purely for yourself and because it suits you, not because you think you are making a point to Disney or anyone.

I was wondering this too- especially as price is still extortionate, but if we want to play we have to pay! Disney will not care at all 1 week or 2 youve still added to their profits!

All Circumstantial.
Doesn't really matter in this scenario.

Nothing is. Countless examples, but to pick just one... look at the price of a cinema ticket in the 50s compared to now.

This is not true. On a one day ticket, Disney and Universal are within a few dollars of each other. Where Universal is cheaper are the UK tickets and their annual passes. And rightly so, since they offer less.

But for a guest turning up for one day at one park only? Absolutely no difference.

I will be very interested to see how this pans out in the coming year… from the outside as I quit on WDW around 2013.

Generally Disney get their sums right and at the end of the day, this is simply a business like any other.

People thinking otherwise are naive.

We won’t be returning. Sick of the continuous money grab and inferior experience. That was even before this announcement

I'm possibly in the minority here but Genie+ and the lightning lanes don't really bother me and won't stop me from going. Pretty much every other theme park charges for express passes/front of line passes so I'm surprised Disney offered FastPass+ for free for so long.

I'm visiting WDW next month and I'm not planning on paying for Genie+. We'll just use standby lines, take advantage of the 30 min early entry and try get a headliner or two out of the way before official opening. I actually think this could have a positive effect on the standby queues
