Ever wondered what goes on in the cockpit?

Whilst you are getting onboard, putting your hand luggage away etc, have you ever wondered what’s going on in the cockpit?

This Aer Lingus flight from Dublin shows the work before flying and the take off.

Shows why pilots are paid well…

I used to be an air hostess. The take off and landing part is really intense. During the flight they drink tea and chat most of the time

I'm not belittling what they do in any way- they are so highly trained and if anything goes wrong they go from 'joking and and tea drinking' mode to super serious and professional in a split second. But godddddd I made those guys so many cups of tea

I know a couple of pilots and both say that they are not paid for what they do but for what they know if it goes wrong!

Being married to one i know the amount of training and practice involved. Its career long too, you don't just train and you're done for life. I have the spatial awareness of a potato so would never be able to do it
