It is a slippery slope for sure

We flew club for the first time in 2019 as a 'once in a lifetime' experience... who were we kidding lol

Flew Virgin UC in 2020 before Covid hit and booked BA Club for next year

Love it... especially the lounges!

We had the same on our next trip , Atlanta Heathrow was cheaper in Business than PE .

This happens a lot actually, I have found seats in First cheaper than Club in the past. A bit of flexibility on dates and times is sometimes needed but it's worth checking!

It generally happens when the cheaper fare classes in the lower cabin are unavailable and the cheapest fare class in the higher cabin is still on sale.

In normal times the difference will be that the higher fare in the lower cabin will have greater flexibility for amendment and/or cancellation. This may or may not matter to a given consumer. Obviously the Book With Confidence policy during the pandemic means that even the cheapest fares have a degree of flexibility, for as long as that policy remains.
