Mine has gone as well. Can anyone suggest a good but not too expensive vented tumble dryer?

Considering my financial situation, the cheapest option is best. But thanks 👍

My washer AND my drier BOTH broke tonight! We are having a chap out to look at them. He has repaired both before. My drier is about 19 yrs old, he last repaired it about 4 yrs ago. Think the belt has gone. Last time it cost me £60 for him to do it. The washer he last did about 6 yrs ago and that was around £75. The washer is ancient. Im hoping they can both be repaired again

I’d say replace in regards to what to buy I’d only look at Bosch Samsung LG or Siemens

I agree with Keith

We had one of those Hotpoint machines that got recalled due to catching fire.
Paid £50 to avoid the 'fix' and had a new one off them instead
2 years later guess what? - Burning smell and stopped working

Hotpoint, Indesit, Candy etc may be cheap as chips but the quality is awful.

I agree .. I bought a Hotpoint washer 3 years ago .. absolute piece of junk , they replaced just about every part within 18 months and still it kept going wrong .
Got rid in the summer and won’t ever buy another .

If you bothered to read the first post, you’d realise that’s not an option unless you would like us to not wash our one set of uniform between shifts? We aren’t working normal 9-5 hours and we don’t get 2 days off a week so it’s a little tricky.

Unless you’re thinking I should wear wet clothes to work? We have 2 clothes horses thank you, but they don’t dry our uniform in time.

The verdict is a new one, hoping January sales will help us out.

We have clothes horses for the normal stuff, we have no windows downstairs though so mostly have to put them in the bathroom. Uniform will be going to mums for now 🤦🏻

Let me know if anyone heard of an AO sale lol!
