We've never stayed there, but ate at the dinner buffet twice and it was fabulous! I say go for it and then come back and let us know how it all went!

We did book Boma because I didn't want to risk not getting in and it was worth it, it's great fun.
The Savannah view rooms really are worth every penny. Try and think of it as if you really are staying in an African savannah, because that's exactly what it's like However, if you don't go for a savannah view room, there are plenty of places to see the animals from outside of your room. The nightime children's stories around the camp fire were great and there are such lovely, authentic pieces of African art and furniture everywhere in the resort. We've always booked our Disney hotels (never stay more than 2-3 nights at either a Disney or Universal resort) through Dream Unlimited dreamsunlimitedtravel/ where we've found the best prices. Happy planning.

Ohhhh, I really shouldn't have read this as now I will also be surprising my hubby with a night here and if I can afford it I'll be booking a Savannah room. I would never have considered staying in a Disney hotel before

Hi Elouise - yes you can still visit the hotel and do the night vision goggles for the animals without staying there - it's well worth a visit!

It does sound fantastic, but as a single mum as well, not sure I could run to it either. Maybe if I sold a child?

Sounds great, we have a reservation at Boma, might look into staying the night.

This is my dream hotel and I will stay there one day in a Savannah room and a giraffe will stick it's head through my window while I'm eating breakfast! (I have it all planned out!)
The closest I've gotten so far was to book Boma for dinner in September and go early for a wander round first and then have a further wander round after dinner. Bliss! I will live my dream one day... xx xx |
