Freddie Starr RIP

I know he could be a difficult character but he could also be very funny

Never found him in the slightest bit funny but RIP anyway. Another of the old timers gone.

My Dad passed away in January and Freddie Starr was one of his favourites. Hopefully they are up there now having a good chin wag. Rest in peace Freddie🌹.

Hubs worked with Freddie when he came to the NE in the early 60's. Freddie and his band, the Midniters, arrived but their PA system was knacked, so they all hauled to hubs mother's house for his spare. Upon arriving at the house Freddie was more interested in waking up hubs mam to make a pan of chips than getting back for their set!

Rest easy Fred.

Saw Freddie several times at Great Yarmouth during the 70's. A very funny man with a great singing voice. R.I.P. Freddie

He could make me cry laughing , sometimes he was just stupid.
If you are not familiar with his work, have a look on YouTube for Freddie Starr speed up song, it’s genius.
R.I.P. Freddie.

I found him hilarious when I was a child (70’s child) when he used to bang his head on his microphone then flop used to have me in stitches!
I was very sad to see this on the news this morning

I’m a child of the 70s and we as a family often watched proper variety shows with Freddie on, he was always funny on Des O Connors show, and more recently how he tackled that eating trial on I’m a celeb was something else. RIP Freddie ⭐️
