Nespresso machines
Hi, i'm debating buying a new coffee machine. DH uses a tassimo but I don't use it that much. Fancy being able to do espressos to add to either hot or cold milk.
I liked the look of the vertuo one which comes with an offer of 100 free pods but I don't think anyone else makes compatible pods for this apart from direct from nespresso. Looking at the original pod machines, fancy getting the innisia.. does anyone know if you get the 100 free pods with this one? Trying to figure out whether only the vertuo machines get the free pod offer. xx

I don’t know about the free pod deal, but I’ve got an inissia and love it.
We buy the pods from Aldi/Lidl and they are great and much much cheaper

Yea the innisia looks good, shame about the free pods as it is a great offer. Just slightly put off you can only get from them direct. Can be upto 70p each which is a lot.

We have a Vertuo, best thing in the house! We also got the Aeroccino but I bought my sister the £20 one from Aldi and I swear it’s the exact same model!
It’s true that the only pods you can get are from Nespresso but we wanted the range of coffee sizes that Vertuo offers so it suits us...we've also found Vertuo get the nicest limited edition coffees too and we have a nespresso store in our city so it’s not been too much of a bother x |

We changed from our 7 year old Pixie to a Vertuo and DH thinks it is much nicer coffee. He didn’t like most of the supermarket compatible pods so I still bought the Nespresso ones. With Vertuo pods you can top up To get a longer drink (dh drinks black coffee and didn’t reckon they were weakened by doing that) but you can also get big pods that fill a takeaway cup. We do a big order of about £80 for about 200 mixed pods that last 5-6 months normally although the last one probably only 3 with Dh working from home!
They quite often email me with various offers and by going for big orders I get free delivery. Hope that helps x

I've got the Vertuo and love it - even at 50-70p a cup its still cheaper than going to Costa/Starbucks/Nero etc
I went fr the Vertuo over the original as I drink coffee in all serving sizes from espresso to full mugs and wanted a machine that did them all rather than multiple machines Though would be nice if Joffery's did compatible pods Edited at 01:01 PM. |

Hmm yea I like the option of bigger drinks not just shots. I think the 100 free pods would last me ages too.. I am leaning towards it.. Plus I'd buy mainly small pods which are a bit cheaper.
I like the look of the vertuo plus in white, altho wish it was cream haha

I have a Vertuo in the office- so out of action at the mo. It’s decent, a lot better than the Tassimo I also had there.
But for home I have a bean to cup which is much better.

We've just bought a delonghi (is it?) and love it. Various different shops doe the different pods and at different prices. Only buying them full price in tesco at the mo as thats the only place we are shopping, can't wait until it's safe to go everywhere (i know some say it is but i'm trying to restrict movement at the mo ) and get them a lot cheaper.

Started off with a Tassimo, then progressed to a Nespresso Pixie and now have a Vertuo as we much prefer a bigger drink. The only downside is nespresso are the only ones who do the bigger size pods, but it doesn’t bother us as we like theirs.
I have many, many kitchen gadgets, but this is the one which gets used daily.
