I had a mouse in my house!
Oh my goodness, what a morning!
Got up at 6am to take my daughter to work so was sat having a cup of tea on the sofa, well I saw something out the corner of my eye go behind the computer desk Screamed for hubby to come down, well he thought I was seeing things as it took him an hour to find it Text all my family for tips on how to catch a mouse, well they couldn’t stop laughing and kept saying sure it wasn’t a rat So 3 hours later after chasing the mouse all round the front room, we finally got it out the back patio door I am blaming my husband as he left the patio door open last night to let the dog out so it must of darted in then Anyway this has kept me busy all morning as I have had to wipe down and clean my front room in case there were mouse droppings Anyone else had a mouse in their house? |

We had one years ago - for such a small thing, it caused absolute chaos! The room looked like we’d been ransacked by the time we caught him 😂

Our cats bring them in quite often. ≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈s that the cats are they frequently lose a live mouse in the kitchen and leave my husband to catch it. We live near open fields and the cats bring the darn things over a 6ft fence and through the catflap. We've found them in shoes (that have been put on with a live mouse in the toe) and in handbags before.
They once brought in quite a large rabbit - we couldn't tell if it was a rabbit or a rat until after we'd caught it in a plant pot and released it outside - just as well the cats are cute. |

We get them quite a bit around the village as we are quite rural. MIL has had them, my partner’s Nan has had them and we’ve seen them at the back of our house, but so far none inside.
We have very recently had a rat in the loft/cavity walls though. We think it’s come down the row of houses (terrace) through the lofts as they aren’t properly sealed off. We kept hearing this scurrying and rustling in the walls at night, wasn’t until next door told us they’d had a rat in their kitchen that we realised it was not mice we had been hearing! |

We are surrounded by fields and get them often. Once when DS was a baby, I was putting him to bed and one ran out from under his cot. 🤢
We have a cat now and I always know if we have mice in the kitchen as he sits staring under the cooker for hours on end. |

We had one a few weeks ago, we found it living in the under stairs cupboard but we have 3 cats so guess one brought us a living gift and it got under the door to hide in there and had chewed it’s way through the dogs sack of dry food! To cut a long story short it ended up getting away and died Inside the walls and DH had to cut a hole to cut him out! It freaked me out and I am looking everywhere for rodents now!

The cat bought a live one in last night and dumped it in the hall. Fortunately DS spotted him do it, and DH managed to catch it and get it outside.
Unfortunately, this is a regular occurrence in our house! Not a week goes by without a mouse in the house - normally in the utility room, as that’s where the cat is restricted to of a night. I can cope with dead ones, it’s the live ones I can’t stand.

We had a problem with mice many years ago. I was a member of another very popular and at the time very active Disney message board.
I remembered someone else had posted about how they had dealt with the problem but couldn't find the post. So of course I put "Mouse" in the forum search bar. As you can imagine I had rather a lot of matches. Still didn't find the post I wanted. DH resorted to traditional mouse traps whic did the job. |

Excited about Disney

Our tried and tested method to catch a mouse is to put a Wellington boot down close to where you think it is. The mouse will see the dark tunnel and run into it. Take the boot outside and release. Never failed in 30 years of cat ownership.
