Another vote for Delta (a virgin partner if you collect miles) or Jet Blue

We flew with Delta last year from LGA to TPA who were absolutely fine but Southwest were actually cheaper and all fares include 2 cases. Annoyingly we missed booking those so went with Delta instead but had to add on $25 per bag which all adds up. My parents flew Southwest in 2017 and had no problems whatsoever.

When do you book your flights? I had a look the other day ( I’m still too early but was checking April) and Delta were extortionate... around the $700 mark.

If you go onto Southwest website it will tell you when they release their dates for future months. They are like EasyJet in they they release them in blocks rather than a rolling day to day basis. When I booked my parents’ flights I made a note in my diary and booked them the day of release. Theirs were $89 each including the luggage as it’s included. Never saw them cheaper than that!

I am American and fly internally on a regular basis (about once a month). My go to airlines are Southwest and Jet Blue. I would never hesitate to book a trip on either. To me, Jet Blue is a bit less "discount airline" with assigned seats but you cannot beat two free bags on Southwest. I always check both apps.
For my next trip BOS to HOU, Jet Blue is much cheaper although they have fewer flights. My kids are all Southwest loyalist, although I like that you can share miles on Jet Blue. |

Excited about Disney

Hi, we are flying with Delta from JFK to MCO in August. We have not booked our bags (cases or hand luggage) on board yet as couldn't see where to book the bags online. Do we do this at JFK Airport on the day at check in? Thanks in advance.

We did ours on the check in machines at JFK, added in cases and paid at kiosk. All very simple
