The New Legends of Monkey - Netflix

So we recently got netflix and came across the New Legends of Monkey series - OMG I love it ! I binge watched 2 seasons - lots of humour and fighting I was hooked. The only problem with netflix is you can get through a season so quickly then you have to wait ages and hope there is another one.

If you haven't seen it check it out but its lighthearted fun which is perfect at the moment with all the doom and gloom around.

Is this like the Monkey in the early 80s with the bald one on the horse and Piggy?

Yep same one a few slight differences and no bad dubbing but the gang is all there fights are good I really enjoyed it. Although I’m not sure I should admit that I remember the one from the 80’s or not 😆😆😆

yep- the age before reality TV took over I'm pretty sure Airwolf was on Fridays too and I liked that as well - I much prefer action to soaps :-)

Used to be Monkey which I think was on 2 (?) then The Tube used to be on Ch 4 I recall, around 1982 this would have been, although it was on in the Summer holidays before that I think, maybe even about 1979. I remember me and my friend playing being Monkey, with a stick, one was Pigsy. I could be wrong but I remember Airwolf being on, on Saturdays or Sundays.

Good times.

Glad I could introduce you to it - it can become addictive I now desperately need a season 3 haha. I have to say I'm glad it resolved the tripitaka issue as a child I could never figure out if it was a boy or a girl when it was what looked like a girl playing it, this one at least clarifies that. I really like martial arts and like all the new cast so binge watching was easy :-) Dad thinks I'm bonkers but the kids love it too.
