Good trip report. DS wants to do the north coast 500 sometime. DH and I spent a week in fort Augustus last November and drove to mallaig, the steam train wasn’t running. Anyway the drive was fantastic. Roads were in great condition and the scenery was spectacular. He wanted to stop off at Mhorar where he spent his holidays with his family when he was little. If anyone’s over this way I’d recommend stopping off at the silver sands of mhorar. Spectacular beach.
