My account now shows 200 points in 2020 use year and 400 in 2021, when I went to book online it was going to take from 2021 year so I'm going to phone later and check that is correct as obv if I have any left over I want to bank them. The latest holiday with the family (now moved to Nov) will use 350 points and I plan to go again solo in April/May next year. I'm really pleased that Disney are doing this with the points, so much better customer service than VA who have been really difficult.

Ok so took an hour on hold and apparently the points won't resolve themselves until the 2nd week in June at which point I can phone again and get all sorted to use the expiring points at earliest vacation.

I'm not sure that is the case I think the 40 points were from March 20-March 21 banked into
March 21 - March 22 or else I wouldn't have been able to use them for an August 21 trip.

From what I read I have until end of March to have the 2022 use year points put back into that year and I cant take a chance that they wont be as I will need them to move the holiday into August 2022 but trying to figure out what would happen with the 40 points banked into this year

ok I just got off the phone with member services and cancelled our reservation for August. if it ends up going and there is availability we always have the option to rebook. Very nice gentleman who advised points should go into RCI and genuinely didn't seem to know about anything else. I mentioned other international owners had been having points extended and was there anything that can be done and he offered to speak to his supervisor, came back and said there were currently exceptions for international travellers he hadn't been aware of and he could do it.

He has transferred 150 points back into the current use year put 60 borrowed points back into the 2022 use year and has put in a form to have 40 banked points from March 20 into the 2022 use year for use between March 22 and Feb 23 - these should show up in 5-7 days which would suit us down to the ground as hoping to go in August 22 if we have to cancel.

the cut off for putting points back into the use year that they came from is 1st May apparently.

everything is now where it should be apart from the 40 points so fingers crossed it all happens as he advised and I will be a happy bunny.

We are keeping the reward flights for now and decisions don't have to be made about tickets until June if things change drastically before August and we think we can go we can always book again if there is room
