Email on reservation

Hi,

Just a quick one. I’m new to renting out my points. When I’m booking for my renters, I always leave my email as the email on the booking form.
Is this correct or should I put the email of the renter down?

Yes I leave my email on. Make sure you put your renters name down as lead person as the only way to change that is to call up or go to chat. I found that out when I booked Riviera for a renter at speed as it disappeared and came back again before someone else took it and then I had to contact them to change the lead booking name. All other names can be changed or added to though through the system.

I don’t know whether this is ‘correct’ but I also leave my email as the contact, but give their email in the guest info section. I forward on any emails to the renter about their reservation.

I had assumed the lead guest would receive confirmation too, but one renter told me they hadn’t received anything direct from DVC so I queried it and was told you have to ask MS to manually add the guest email in for communications. Default setting was for only the member to be emailed.

Glad I’m not the only one to have discovered this the ‘hard’ way!
