Will it be hard to rent points August 2022?

We are doing 5 nights onsite at Disney mid August 2022. It’s looking very likely there will be no deals next year so I’m thinking renting DVC points with David’s as it will give us more bang for our buck. I’m guessing this may end up being quite a popular option. Do you think it will be difficult to rent points at that time of year.? I’d try at 11 months out for a studio at one of the cheaper resorts.

I think you will have no problem at all for one of the bigger Resorts such as OKW, SSR etc.

Loads will have Banked their Points in to 2022 and have a glut of them.

It's nice position to be in but we have a real quandry for 2022 as we could stay for a huge amount of time.

I would be looking both on here and David's plus the usual other suspects.

Great Thanks. Definitely something I’m going to do if no offers come out.

I think that renting points for next year is already looking like a very popular option, whilst many people have excess points that they couldn't use last year, with the loss of free dining and now having to pay for parking with a cash booking, people are cottoning on to the realisation that renting points is a better deal than paying cash.

I've had 2 Dibbers contact me in the last couple of weeks asking if I'm renting my Beach Club points out for next year - I'm not, I plan on splurging & enjoying every single one of them.

If people are already trying to get that far ahead of the game by contacting people who aren't even advertising their points months ahead of the 11 month booking window, I think that's a very good indication that it's going to be a popular option.

You probably already know this but I would send in your request about 5 to 10 days before the 11 month window so they can line up an owner to make your reservation right at the 11 month mark. You mention David's but just letting you know another option is DVC-rental.com and with DVC-rental you don't have to pay any money to check availability.

Good luck.

I think there will be a lot of U.K. owners planning on big trips next year but US DVC owners have still been visiting. We are looking at Xmas 22 so will be sending our request a week before the 11 months mark for AKL with a back up of BWV.
