Travel Insurance wont pay out

Were claiming for our park tickets sold by florida escapes, who have sent us a cancellation invoice (i assume they have terminated the tickets? - they dont reply to emails so i may never know).

Our insurance company are adamant the ticket's can still be used, or re-dated therefore wont pay out.

Anyone had any luck claiming for park tickets.

PS - i would NOT recommend Topdog insurance, there first line of defense was to claim that our policy did not cover the USA! (my receipt and all other paperwork clearly stated it did).

Why aren't Florida Escapes refunding if the tickets have been cancelled?

Took us weeks to get Florida escapes to pay out actually refunded our money this week
They tried the claim your insurance with us
Well no we can’t you never sent the tickets they were ordered 8th of February and still had not arrived by lockdown so we started the process then
I guess we’d still be fighting if American Express had not got involved
Have you checked with Universal etc that the tickets are still valid Florida Escapes have
Cancelled some folks tickets and got the refunds but not refunded customers

I'd go back to Florida Escapes. Its their responsibility not your insurance. Your insurance is right that if you had the ticket then you could still use it some other time but from the sounds of it you don't have the ticket.

If they’re still refusing could you try a chargeback or section 75 refund process via your debit/credit card?

So, i sent the cancellation invoice from florida escapes for a second time and now insurance is paying out. I guess they are literally going through thousands of claims a day, a little perserverance has paid off.

Now got to try and get money back from visit orlando seaworld tickets!
