I would send her with the old GHD’s and hair dryer and get new ones for yourself if she really doesn’t take care of things! They’ll get borrowed and passed around at Uni. Sounds like she is already getting a lot for her birthday so I wouldn’t go too mad on expensive or wanting to get matching things.

My DH got me the Remington Prodeluxe hairdryer for Christmas, it’s brilliant, I have really thick hair it takes an age to dry usually, takes less than half the time with this one. Comes with accessories, i didn’t want a really expensive one, but not a really cheap one either.

Id steer clear away from expensive brands, at the end of the day your paying for the name and not the quality of the product.

Is it possible to speak to her hairdresser for a recommendation?
I bought my daughter a new hairdryer for Christmas and asked her hairdresser what she would recommend. She has very long very thick hair and I was recommended one from a local beauty supplies shop. I can’t for the life of me remember the brand, I know it wasn’t a well known brand but it’s the same as the one used in the salon. It was £65 and my daughter is delighted with it, it’s much more powerful than the one she had before so her hair dries much quicker and also leaves it much less frizzy. |
