Just Booked 2 Bed Standard At SSR , Not allowed to Request Paddock Though

Hi

After booking a 2 bed standard at SSR i rang to request the paddock area and was told they had received notification that requests for the Paddock were not allowed and that they did not know why and how long this would last.

I instead requested Grandstand which i have stayed at before.

I read that the Paddock has been completed as far as the remodelled rooms and that they are now refurbishing Grandstand and then Carousel.

Completion by early summer is expected.

I thought if i booked Paddock i had more of a chance of a remodelled room although we booked a 2 bed as that will be fine even if its not been refurbed yet

Has anyone any idea why i cant request Paddock

Afraid I cant help with your question, but your comments that Grandstand is next and the refurb is due for completion by early summer has brightened up my morning given a refurbished 2 bed in Grandstand is exactly what I want in August.

Sorry, but no idea why you cant request a standard 2-bed in the Paddock especially as they've already been updated, dvcnews/resorts/saratoga...-february-2021.

Wonder if you can make a few building number requests in the Paddock area or even room numbers if you want a certain floor level. Just don't mention Paddock to member services, just the numbers.

I'm having the same issue. I can only assume it's because they're refurbishing the kids splash area which I think is due to complete in Winter according to another site.
