How bad is Boulder Ridge?

I'd prefer CCV but need 2 weeks in a 2 bed this August and availability is sparse. BRV has availability but I'm not sure how good the accommodations are as I know they're in desperate need of a refurb.

Can anyone advise please? TIA!

We stayed in a 1 bed in October 2018, I didn't love it, desperately in need of a refurb then, felt pretty small & dark compared to the newer units. We were on the ground floor, so that probably didn't help the natural light aspect.

We've just been through the same thought process for this August. Only need a week so managed to book a 1-bed and 2-bed and CCV.

It looks like they have started some test modelling on BRV ahead of the much needed refurb.

After reviewing recent YT vids we came to the conclusion that they look really tired, and for us I think we'd have preferred SSR/OKW or BLT, if we hadn't got CCV.

I guess it comes down to how much you want Wilderness Lodge. We'd love BCV/BWV for location, but no chance at this stage.
