Solana Resort or Solara Windsor at West Side. Virgin Package
Virgin have given us different options
Solana Resort at Davenport, looks a bit tired on the photographs although I'm not sure Solara / Windsor at West Side. This one looks much better. They both seem quite far out, is this correct. Would be looking at around 30 minutes to travel to the parks or more from these Thanks xx |

We’ve stayed at Windsor at Westside. Nice villas but communal area we found to be very busy with large parties of Americans. You can get to Disney within 15 minutes using the new Western Way road as this cuts out the 192/I4 main roads. Universal is longer - probably a 40 minute drive to take into account traffic.

We've stayed at Solana twice - 2008 and 2018. We've enjoyed our stays there and couldn't fault it really.
We really like it there and normally stay on the US27 area. But it is a little way out like you said tbh esp for the Universal area. It's simple though to navigate and we've never really had any issues. We find it quiet there, gated secure resort with lovely communal pool area. Also there's a Publix very close and a Walmart close by with quite a few restaurants in the area. Also 192 is literally minutes away which has most things needed. You can also use the I4 for beach trips, BG etc. We would stay again but depends on what we were doing ie if a parks holiday then prob not as ideally would want to be closer but if one of our off the beaten track trips then yes. We find it is a bit more expensive than some resorts we've stayed at too. |
