How much does your dog sleep?
I know dogs sleep a lot but my little Tilly is taking it to the next level.
We go to bed at 10pm she her last wee is then. We have to encourage her to wake up and go for a wee at 11am-12pm so she doesn’t move all that time. She will then have a little drink and food then off back to sleep. She wakes when she hears us putting our walking clothes on and lift her lead etc. She can’t manage big walks anymore, she has had enough after 30 minutes but will cope fine with an hour. Then its drink, food and sleep time. So she is only awake for approximately 2 hours a day. Some of the sleeping time is probably just resting not actually sleep. But she is certainly not as active as she was. She is 12 though. She likes to sleep snuggling up to someone but if they move about too much she gives them a dirty look and moves on 🙈🙈 Tilly peeping at me over the iPad 🤣 |

Aww she’s adorable, Riley is 9 he goes to bed after his last wee at 9pm, he gets up about 7-8am, food , wee then back to sleep , walk around an hour later then sleep again.
He sleeps on and off all day. He gets into his night time slumber though about 7-8pm before bed at 9 .

Sam’s schedule (5 yr old hound)
07:00 up for his walk and breakfast 08:00-12:00 morning sleep 12:00-12:30 in garden, lunchtime biscuit 12:30-18:00 afternoon sleep 18:00-19:00 walk and meal 19:00-23:00 evening sleep followed by toilet break 23:30 bed Rinse and repeat! Any time we choose, we could get him out of his slumber or take him on a 10 mile walk but, left to his own devices, he’ll choose sleep. |

Daisy is 19 months and a crazy energetic girl, but would literally sleep all day if she had her way! She passed out at about 11 last night, got up for a wee when DH went to work at 5.30, came back to bed, then came down with me at 7.30 to see the kids off, it's now 9.15 and she is sound asleep on the sofa again! When she is awake she has bounds of energy, but she is also a full on lazy mutt!

I’ve got a 3 year old lab and he sleeps a lot too, I think about 20 hours a day. After his tea of an evening he’ll be fast asleep, but I turf him out for a wee when we go to bed, then he’ll sleep all night without moving. At about 7am I feed him and he has a morning wee, then it’s back to sleep.
I walk him between meetings but must say he’ll get a bit restless mid morning if not been taken out, back home then sleep until we go down to do the horses 4ish. We’re there a couple of hours, so he runs round playing. Home, tea, rinse and repeat. He does love sleeping, but loves a walk more, I can’t walk him too much though as he has elbow dyslacia

Tink is 14 months and would sleep/rest all day given the chance!
Up about 7:30am on a school day but would sleep in past 9am otherwise, bed by 9:30pm. Other than an hour walk or two shorter ones she’ll sleep most of the day. She might have a mad 30 minutes in the evening if there are foxes about in the garden. She’s currently snoozing in the sun out on the decking 🌞 |
