I left home at 26 I think, was along time ago!
My 2 kids live with there mum still at 25 and 20. My daughter (25) want to leave home and is saving for a deposit on a house/flat but doesn't earn enough to get mortgage , deposit or not unfortunately. She not had a boyfriend/girlfriend so no plans for joint house share etc.

I left at 19.
My sister left at 23.

Both never moved back 😊
My brother in law is 33 and still lives with his parents (he did live in his own place for a few years)

DS left at 18 to go to Uni, came back for about a year then went back to Uni for his final year. He has just bought a flat after renting a room for 3 years.
Eldest DD left at 18 to go to college and now has her own family and house.
Youngest DD left at 18 to go to Uni, she came back because of lockdown and decided not to go back to Uni (3rd year). She stayed with us for about 4 months and now lives with friends in a flat.
The 2 oldest now have their own places so I don’t imagine they will stay with us again. My youngest is 21 so might return but seems pretty settled.
My brother in law is 54 and has never left home, he lives with my father in law who is 82! I can’t imagine he will now!

Thanks for all the replies. Seems quite a few have moved out at young ages then.

Both mine went to uni and then came home. DS left when he was 28 and bought a flat with his girlfriend. DD is now 27 and single, she can't afford the ridiculous prices around here on one income. I think she'll be here for a while longer.

DH and I were 23when we married and left home.

I was 21 and never went back. My sister left at 29! Then went back at 32, then left for the final time at 34!

I left at 19 while I was at uni but moved to a town further away from uni and private rented. To be fair I was given an ultimatum “him or us” so I chose him. While I regret the man that ultimatum made me the person I am today .

DD left at 25. DS 25 is still at home and although he has a fairly hefty deposit I don’t think it’ll be enough to get him anything here alone. But I’m happy for him to be with us.

I was 29 before I left home, my dad died when I was 20 so it was only me and my mom left at home. I bought the house we lived in when I was 21, so technically my mom lived with me.

My son was so sure that he didn't want to go to Uni, but has now changed his mind and the course he has chosen is 5 years, he just needs to get on it now. But he wants to commute 30 minutes each way, rather than leave home.
