Advice pls on South to North trip
Hi we're bookwd into Vegas and out of San Francisco so will be doing the route the opposite way. We did want to visit Yosemite but looking like it will be a nightmare and not sure our teens, 16 & 13,would appreciate it too much. Is there another national park worth visiting that would be better suited to our trip? Any advice and tips would be great
TIA X

You could take a drive through Death Valley on the way out of Las Vegas, maybe even staying a night.
As well as all the natural wonders, there is a near deserted mining town on the way out of DV on the western side called Darwin which your teens may like. This can be taken as part of a drive up to Bishop if heading that way to San Fran, or to LA if going that way. Another option from Vegas could be to go across to the Grand Canyon south rim and spend a night there. How long are you going for and what is your planned route. |

Thanks for the tips
Well be there for 17 days so may still fit it in tbh. Our teens are whistle stop kinds kids so we're thinking just 2/3 in one place at a time should give us 1 night at Yosemite with early morning starts. You can always sleep on way home 😂

Hi first of you need to start on your itinerary jot down what your must see places are and see how many days you need. Once you have your basics then we can help much more.
As an idea we did 3 n Vegas 2 n Palm Springs 1 n Santa Barbara 3 n Monterey 3 n San Fran 3 n Yosemite Hope this gives you some ideas. From Monterey you could go to Yosemite and then back to San Fran |
