French knot help
I’ve been doing a cross stitch kit and I need to do a french knot for a bit of it.
I’ve been practising it on a different bit of fabric but can’t do it, it just goes through as a normal ‘stitch’ (I have no idea if that’s the right word, I’m not crafty) I’ve watched YouTube videos and paused as I copied what they did but every time I fail. It annoys me so much because I can see the logic of how it’d make a knot! Any tips? |

The secret us to pull the stitch through slowly, to keep the knot in place. Practice just doing lots of french knots, you will suddenly get it! They become quite addictive once you master them and leave a lovely effect on the fabric.
My local Hobbycraft staff are pretty poor to be honest, but you can try!

If you really can’t do them, add a tiny seed bead in place of the knot.
