Just back from Disneyland & LA!

Got back last week but we had another trip to London 2 days after we got home & we’ve been so exhausted all we want to do is sleep! Think I’m all caught up now & ready to tell you all about our trip to Disneyland & all in between!
We had 4 days at Disney, 2 in each park & I thought this was just perfect. My son had DAS & it worked amazingly & helped him a huge amount! Never had to wait more than 40 mins for a come back time which was amazing for the big popular rides like cars, Star Wars etc, & some rides we got on within 10 mins.
I think it’s our favourite parks now we absolutely loved it specially DCA, the theming in that park is something else! We are big Pixar fans so we adored this area, also the Cars area is probably the best out of all the Disney parks we’ve visited (4 out of 6 parks) & the ride is amazing! We rode this the most, about 6 times followed by incredicoaster!
We ended our last day in DCA with the dessert party which was fab! Highly recommend this as a one time experience! It was amazing being able to sit after a long day & stuff our faces with the yummy treats, beer & a cocktail while watching WOC.
We didn’t find the parks overly busy, busy but not like the crowds I’d been seeing on social media!
We did 2 Disney days first, then we had a beach day with our lovely friend who lives in long beach. She took us to Laguna beach for the day & it was just breathtaking! Lovely little town too & we visited the Taylor Hawkins mural which was top of my sons lists of things to do while there, he’s a huge fan & he sadly passed away last year🥲
Our next day was our tour of LA with Emily, from yourlatours. This was a private tour, & Emily picked us up from Anaheim & took us everywhere we wanted to see in & around LA. We visited Walt Disney Music hall, Santa Monica, Beverley Hills & saw a few celeb houses, (Simon Cowell, Taylor swift,to name a few) Whiskey A Go Go, we had pizza at the Rainbow bar & grill, Guitar Center, Hollywood walk of fame, Capital records building, Amoeba Music, (one of the largest record stores I’ve ever been in!), the FUNKO store, my daughter collects these & was able to make one to look like her! My son got one too, his is the best!, Hollywood Forever Cemetery to see some rock stars for my son, & we finished with going right up as far as you can go by car to the Hollywood Sign! This was a highlight for me as I’d only ever seen the sign from the ground before so was delighted that Emily took us so far up the mountain! After this Emily took us to our Burbank hotel, the tangerine which was very cute, & we stayed the night here to go on to Universal Studios the next morning!
We had a full day from 8am to 10pm & got absolutely everything done! Loved the Nintendo world, we got a return time for the Mario ride which was a 2 hour wait & that was at 8.30 am. It meant we couldn’t ride anything else until we did this which was fine so we went & took lots of pics of the park etc. We were allowed to leave & come back as I was afraid of not getting back in but was assured we would, but don’t think they needed to use the virtual queue that day anyway. We were a bit underwhelmed with the ride, it’s good but definitely not worth the 3 hour wait that most people had to do in the melting heat as there’s no shade. It’s a fun ride but it could have been better. Maybe we were doing it wrong but my Mario hat kept falling off & don’t think it’s meant to!
Anyway, we loved the whole park & so glad we did it.
We got a Lyft back to Anaheim after & had 2 more Disney days & a pool day before we went home!
We had 9 nights in total & we could have stayed another 9. We will definitely go back & add more places in along the way! A few favourite pics!
