Thank you Dubletrub. So sorry to hear of your loss. It 8s sure seeming to be the case that you can't get cover for terminal illness. She has had a couple of quotes one was around £4000 but that was without covering for the cancer. Hopefully she might have some luck tonight. Just want the family to have the holiday they want while she is well enough to be able to have fun while she is well enough to enjoy it x

Boots are also good for pre-existing medical, but not sure about terminal illness

Its dismaying that Boots wouldn't provide cover. They are one of the most empathetic and supportive insurers for severe pre-existing conditions. (Did they say why?)

Albeit not for the USA, they provided full cover to Cyprus for a terminally ill, (now deceased) relative in November for a modest rate.

Someone earlier mentioned the McMillans community website earlier. The best options are to be found there in the forums and guides.

Thanks, not sure of the exact reason as my friend contacted them, seems they would only give quote without cover for cancer so wether it has something to do with for the US, seems strange if they gave cover to Cyprus.
Cancer insure are looking promising. Good news, they are sending a questionnaire to her oncologist today, bad news, oncologist goes on holiday today for 2 weeks so unless he received it and filled in straight away that's a big delay. What should have been something to look forward to is turning out to be a nightmare :-(
