Virgin economy light / economy classic

Hi Dibbers, I want to get my flights booked tonight if I can, since I last flew with virgin which was always one price and off we went, I have found the offer is now economy light / economy classic, difference of £234 in the total price. Can anyone explain the main difference and wether its worth paying the extra, also do you think economy light at £1273 and classic at £1507 are good prices. Many thanks

My understanding is that you get luggage and seat booking with classic. We used miles so automatically got classic so I didn’t check fees for luggage etc. I suppose you’d have to price up adding luggage and see.

Economy light doesn't include advance seat booking and luggage, other than hand luggage, whereas economy classic does. More info on the Virgin Atlantic website:

When are you booking for? That sounds very expensive to me. Like others have said, there's no luggage with economy light and you can't reserve seats at booking like you can with classic and delight

Is that the price for 1 person? Really expensive if it is. What dates and from which airport?

I would say £1507 is a good price.

Sounds good for 3 people. Thomas Cook is £1860 for the same dates.
