BA World Traveller Plus to Orlando - Which seats are best

Hi

Planning to book soon, does anyone have any advice about which seats are best?

Thanks

I'll be going in 4 weeks time by BA WT Plus and for the very first time will not be pre-booking my seat (currently £45 each way) and just taking a chance when I check-in the morning before my flight.

If you are travelling solo, this is less of an issue, apart from the “risk” of a middle seat, but if in a couple or larger group you do have a fair risk of being split up, if that bothers you. The cabin is popular and obviously smaller than economy (between 24 and 52 seats, depending on aircraft used).

More generally, there is another thread running on this subject

I choose the last row against the wall between it and economy. It means I can fully recline without bugging anyone, and I don’t have knees in the back of my seat or kids hanging off it. I have a dodgy back so long haul is a pain (we use Avios and companion vouchers to fly Club World when we can), and all those little things just exacerbate it. Being in the back row of WTP works best for me.

Just gave the same answer on another thread

That’s good to hear as we’ve booked the back row for our return journey next month.

My only fear with the back hall of WTP is that the front row of WT directly behind you is Bassinet seats, so a high chance of a crying baby.

Being flippant the best seats on any BA flight are on the virgin plane next to them

It’s pot luck wherever you sit though. I’ve been sat well away from the bulkhead seats and have had babies crying, yet all the times that we’ve been near the bulkhead/bassinets the babies have been quiet.

Babies are never the issue, after a few minutes you can "filter out" their noise they same way you can the engine noise.

Unruly drunk adults are always worse, and there are always more of these in business and WT than economy in my experience (as they have paid a lot for a one of slice of luxury and now feel like they are entitled to everything - where as to nick David Cameron's term "we are all in it together" back in the cheap seats

If noise is an issue for you just pick up some cheap noise cancelling headphones on Amazon - you can get them for about 20 quid if you aren't bothered about brand, and they will filter out even the most insistent crying
