That is the US site. It is not Disney UK. The URL will need to be a .co.uk and not .com on the end for the Disney UK terms. Anything that is .com will reference the charges.
Disney UK have their own set of rules such as UK only tickets with free memory maker that are not available on the US .com site. |

They don't make it easy to see then. If you start here
disneyholidays/walt...y-world/deals/ then select places to stay, then deluxe hotels it goes to the link I posted. |

Hmm, you're right.
So, anyone who doesn't frequent the DIBB and who's using the Disney UK website to look at the details of the various hotel will see a message telling them they'll have to pay the parking fee if booking after March 21st. It's not obvious that it switches to the US website and doesn't state it doesn't apply to UK visitors. It also doesn't help that anyone doing a search will probably see all the US Disney websites talking about this fee.

Very unfair I think, either everyone should pay from the same date or no one.

Wow that is a shocker. We always have hired a car when staying onsite but keep wondering about the value, now we definitely will be using the magical express and having Uber if we go offsite.

Thanks for the link, as soon as I click on the Places to Stay it redirects to the US site even though it states UK and Ireland at the top of the page.
Stayed in November at SSR and loved it, paying nearly $300 for parking puts a different spin on it! |

Pure greed, you are already paying a premium for being on-site

Absolutely. The cost for 14 nights is now going to be $336 or £240 at today's rates. That's a doubling of the hire car rate for a compact. I'l probably just use the car for my first week whilst I'm off site and then just drop it off at the car acre centre on arrival at Disney and use the buses from then onwards followed by magical express to get back.

There has been lots of interesting discussion around this - and Previous posters - that's exactly what Disney want.
They want to reduce the number of visitors with cars - it makes is significantly more likely that you will remain on site and spend your $$$ on site, rather than popping off to Walmart, Cracker Barrell etc. If they penalise you for having a vehicle on site, then many many more people will use ME, Minnie Vans, buses and the gondola-system when it is open. PLUS the additional revenue for those people who still choose to have (or have to) have a car on site. I understand why they have done it, but I don't have to like it.

They doing this to really get guests to spend all there holiday at Disney and forcing guests to take the magicial express from Orlando or a coach transfer from other airports.
The money they lose on guests going to other parks in there car they make up for charging a nightly rate to park your car there. |
