Disney springs virgin check-in
Hi I was wondering how much of a hassle this is compared to the airport? Do they have trolleys you can use for luggage? Or can you park at the door ? I have never used this before

There are no trolleys, you park in the car park as close to Cirque Du Soleil as possible then drag your cases over to a check in area in front of the building. Miles easier than airport check in IMHO.

Hi yes you can park right outside the check in desk it's so easy we have done it every time its our 14th trip this year on virgin flights $10 each person, if you've booked a package with them i think its free, it's great knowing you don't have to worry about your cases, every one in your party needs to go tk passports and tickets you will get your boarding passes there 😁😁

As above, no trolleys, but you can park very close to DS check-in in the Watermelon parking lot. Not too far at all to carry / wheel your cases over to the check-in area under the covered area behind Cirque du Soleil.
All members of your party on the booking must be present with their checked luggage & passports at DS check-in. They do not need to see your carry-on luggage, which you can leave in the car. For us, the big advantage is being able to dump the checked bags in the morning then park the rental car up in a theme park / other carpark during the day with just carry-on bags hidden away in the boot. Nothing on view to tempt any undesirable elements. Sure, the car parks are pretty safe in general, but if something is on show, it's temptation. The alternative is to leave your bags in your villa (if you've got late check-out) or with bell services at your hotel then drive to the airport & drop-off all the party + bags at kerbside check-in dropoff. The driver then does a lap to return the hire car & meets up with the rest of the party at check-in level, then proceed to airport check-in. There is nothing stopping you from using a combination of both Disney Springs & airport bag-drop / check in. You can all check-in at Disney Springs in the morning and drop most of your checked luggage. When you arrive at MCO you can (subject to baggage allowance / payment for additional bags) drop extra hold luggage if you've wanted to change later in the day before your trip to the airport & wish to check in the dirty laundry, so as to speak. I know it's quite common for families who take their own car seats to use Disney Springs check-in during the morning to get rid of the hold checked bags, then drop the car seats for checking to the hold at the airport when they have finished using them. |

Hi there,
This is an excellent facility... we have used it at end of 20+ visits ourselves... PE has a "fast lane" facility... get there about 07.45, and you never have to wait long... leave it until 10am+ and a very different experience awaits you! Paul |

We always do the Disney Springs check in/luggage drop. We get there early as our flights are usually in the evening and afterwards have a park day at Mk.
We put our hand luggage in the lockers at the entrance. Its easy to do and worth the $10 fee. Makes it so much easier when you get to MCO.

So, you are really swapping a queue at the airport for a queue at DS? We won't be getting up at 7 on our last day so an early check-in wouldn't work for us. Is there usually a long queue at PE check in too by mid-morning?
@kraken - what is airport kerbside check-in dropoff? Its been a while since we have flown from MCO and I've never used this particular facility before. Thanks

We have opted to try Norwegian this year, and this is one thing we will miss! Makes the departure day so easy and less stressful.

Excited about Disney

We have used this check in option on each of our trips, and have arrived around 10:30am. We have never had a bad experience at that time. So much easier than check in at the airport.
I would recommend, its worth the money! x |

We used it in October, it was great. Parked just across from it, wheeled cases over, straight up to desk and all done within 5 mins.
