Just wondering what the benefits are of the annual pass, we wont be going back within the year and was just wondering other than free parking what the benefits were?

me too, were going in august 2017 and will be going august 18 too,
if ive read the threads right i can buy an ultimate ticket, and upgrade it to a annual pass, but i get refunded the price of the original ticket and only pay the extra, which people are getting for about £100. but i can use my ticket up until the end of my holiday 31st august, then upgrade on the last day, and my ticket is then valid until the end of august the following year, so ive bought next trips tickets for £100. (if ive read it correctly)
but you get free parking and discounts on dining and shopping.
i hope someone corrects me if wrong in my interpretation of the way to upgrade.

You wouldnt get a refund of the original ticket, from what i gather they attempt to work out the value of the Ultimate ticket in $ then deduct that from The Premium Annual Pass.

then you get 366 days from when it is activated

Someone please correct me if i am wrong

I hadn't realised the year started from the day you upgrade? So on a 14 day ultimate that you convert to annual pass you can actually get 379 days? 365 & 14?

I always understood the annual pass ran from the first day you used the ticket you upgraded.

From all ears

"So you’ve already bought Magic Your Way park tickets when you decide an annual pass is a better deal. Did you know that you can take that ticket to Guest Services and upgrade it to an annual pass? The full value of that ticket will be applied to the pass and you’ll just pay the difference. So say you bought a $200 ticket and your AP costs $489. You’ll just pay an additional $289. (Actual figures may vary)

Your AP will be backdated to the first date of use. So say you have a 7 day ticket and you the first day you used it was September 1st. On day 7, you decide to upgrade. Your full value of that ticket will be applied regardless of how many days you used and your AP start date will be September lst. Click here to decide if an Annual Pass is right for you"

I think you will find that the ap will run from the date the original ticket was first used.we upgraded ours on my last day in magic Kingdom. Hoping to use in in October and July this year. But we could only get October out of it
