I was speaking to one of the teachers at my son’s secondary school and he’s quite concerned the effect that lockdown will have on children. The teacher said that he’d noticed that his year 10 pupils, who returned a few weeks back, seem to have retreated into their shells and lost the ability to communicate with each other (more so than usual teenagers).

When I was 16 years old, I spent most of the time in my room.

It was just me and a picture of Sam Fox. Wonderful times.

I can't imagine what I'd have done with the internet and all its "riches" being accessible to me at that age - I'm bad enough now.
