Travel Insurance Question

Hi again!

We are about to book our flights and I want travel Insurance in place pretty sharp after booking. The insurance for us will be minimum - 2 adults 2 children with no medical needs or wants.
However my Dad who is travelling with us is deaf and has diabetes amongst a few other things - Im sure his insurance will be pretty substantial.

My question is this - are we able to get two different policies? I to cover my Dad and another for the rest of us?

Many Thanks
Paula

I have had many family insurances in the past and I do believe that your dad will need a separate policy. A family policy will only cover 2 adults and any children i.e. immediate family. When I go next year because my son is 18 years old he is an adult and so far the quotes that I have tried to get will not allow him on my policy. I am still trying but may have to get him a separate one. Hope this helps.

I have found it cheaper to get a family policy for my husband and the children and I have got a policy just for myself as I have pre exisitng medical conditions saved us £30 doing them separately.

Try LV insurance. They have covered my 19 year old on our family policy. Most of the companies we looked at charged him as a seperate adult.

I've got a policy with LV that also includes my mum as she's coming with us next year. Did it all online, dead easy
