Travel insurance for over 18s

Haven't booked flights yet, but just gauging travel insurance prices and realised that DS will be 19yrs old when we travel. Does anyone do family policies that cover older children or will we have to get a group/other policy? What do other dibbers do?

But if they have separate policies what happens if one member of your family can't travel? Would the insurers not insist your 18yr old could travel alone? ( mine couldn't! )

You might have to get all if the insurances through the same company, give them a call before you pay for the insurance.

I got mine through Columbus but I think it only covered him as he was still a student at uni, not sure if I could have got him on there if he was in work.

Thanks,I'll have a look at both of those, he's still at college and we'd want to travel as a family no matter what so don't like the idea of him being on a separate policy.
