We bought an ikea kitchen last September and I installed it myself, although our kitchen is tiny. I find the quality very good. I'm a diyer and found the ikea system easy to follow.
One annoying thing is every single thing only fits with other ikea purchases eg, can only buy their fitted appliances and the cupboards are a bit deeper so you have to buy their worktops etc.
It was easy to order and delivered on time. If you scan your ikea family card when you pay for it then everything is insured for damage while transporting or installing. I slipped with the drill on a glass cupboard front and they just ordered me a new one, no questions. I only had to pay for the delivery.
Overall I'd highly recommend.

We haven’t but nearly did. The thing that put us off was the fact that everything came flat packed. If you are paying for someone to fit your kitchen, you might want to ask whether they will charge more as there will be more work involved. Really did like the look of them though and were very competitively priced.

We got ours from Wren. I wouldn’t recommend really. They are keen to take your money but not to help when problems arrive (in my experience).

Nieghbours had IKEA and we have inherited bits of it for our utility room (good quality) If it comes flat packed I would probably go with Howdens with their premium carcass good quality.

I thought this thread a little strange being in the “Trip Planning Florida” forum. There’s a community forum further down the site.

Yes had ours for about 8 years.
i planned, ordered it and built the flat pack cupboards.
Was very easy and well priced, then employed a local joiner to fit.

Our current kitchen is ikea. Been a great kitchen though needing a new one now. DH assembled it (joiner to trade). He was impressed with the quality at the time. If you’re looking for a cheaper option then I don’t think you can go wrong with ikea. Ours has been installed for probably 10 years, maybe longer actually and nothing is broken.

We had an ikea kitchen in our old house which I fitted myself. Very easy to build the units and easy to fit.
We have Howden’s kitchen in this house (inherited) and I can’t wait to get rid of it. Poor quality compared to the ikea units, although I think it is the basic one.

I also installed my mum’s kitchen, didn’t use ikea worktops or appliances so unless they have changed something recently you don’t have to use theirs. That’s what I like about ikea everything is standard sizes.
