Here comes the nuisance calls!

Has anyone else started to get the annoying calls, yesterday i had 3 automated calls saying £600 had been taken from my Visa card and to press 1, then this morning a call to make a claim against Carphone Warehouse! Possibly one of the few good things about lockdown was the lack of crap phone calls etc.

Same here, have stopped answering the phone again as they are so annoying, We have our number with the telephone preference service which is supposed to stop this but it doesn't make any difference.

I had more nuisance calls during lockdown than ever before; including but not limited to:

Bill Gates of Microsoft Customer Support
Steve Jobs of Apple Care
An automated one about my Amazon Prime account being cancelled due to non payment
BT about my broadband speed as it seems slow to them
Ford saying I won a 2020 Mustang Bullet edition

I've had to pick my phone up unfortunately as my work provided phone is on 02 with no reception or working WiFi calling so everyone at my company and supply chain is phoning my personal one

We get the odd one, but generally they go to answerphone as we are at work in the daytime.

My phone has call guardian on it... best purchase ever... I have no spam calls at a all.

I’m forever warning my elderly relatives about the scam calls.

I strung one along last week as I so missed having them

Some Lady about my accident. I said I had been involved in two so she got all excited and put me through to a colleague.

We spent a few minutes talking about it then he asked when it was. He didn't find it funny when I said it was in a Ford Anglia in 1972.

I have had one saying my warranty on my washer is due for renewal. I don't have a warranty. When I said that I don't have a warranty. She said it might the one my husband purchased - I explained to her: 1. my dh wouldn't know what a washer looked like and 2. I would notice a second washer in the house.
I then asked her what brand the washer was? she replied Hotpoint. I said do you want to guess again?. She then put the phone down.

I don't answer my landline everyone rings me on my mobile hasn't rung for ages yesterday in went 3 times early morning lunch time and tea time didn't answer it know it will be nuisance calls!

I get alot of obscene phone calls, which wouldn't be so bad if they didn't keep reversing the charges.
