Some brilliant craft ideas - and some very talented crafters here!
I've started cross stitch stockings but 3 years on they haven't been finished. I do make my own Christmas cards with the decoration ranging from small child handprints to hand drawn christmas wreaths. Never remember to take photos of them though. |

Are there any instructions for the cork reindeer please. How are they held together ?

We used three corks for each reindeer. One for the body, one for the legs and the last one did the head and ears.
The cork for the legs is cut in half, then each half is sliced down the middle making the four legs. For the ears you take off a slice of the cork that you are using for the head. Hope that all makes sense! We used a glue gun to stick all the parts together, you can use sewing pins but we didn’t like using them as you can sometimes see them and it’s blooming hard to push them in! The noses and eyes are the small drawing pins, think they are called map pins and a small pom-pom for Rudolph’s nose. Used pipe cleaners for the tails and antlers, made a little hole with a needle to make it easier to push the pipe cleaners into the corks. Just bought some different coloured ribbon to make the neck bows. If you have a look on Pinterest there are lots of different ways of making them. Good luck, let us see how you get on

That’s brilliant, thank you. Have asked my friends to save their corks for me, and will see if I can buy any in the craft shops.

I have a felt stocking - matching the tree skirt, that I have been doing for 3 years now. And a wall hanging "NOEL" - cannot get motivated.
I get my beading kits from spellboundbead.co.uk, and gjbeads.co.uk Spellbound in particular you can lose days on that site! I am going to do their 3d gingerbread house decoration next... (the felt kit is Bucilla - I could spend a fortune with them too!) |
