Can anyone recommend a tablet pc for kids

For Xmas we was going to get dd5 the new Nintendo ds but she has become accustomed to our iPad, she loves the learning apps , Maths, games etc

So we are going to get her a tablet so we can put on apps like the above, books etc

Can anyone recommend a good one, that's easily "kid proof" and not over priced, would ideally like to pay under £100

Any help
Thanks

Currys & P C World are currently selling the 64gb Blackberry Playbook tablet (7 inch screen) for £129 - a saving of £430 on the original retail price.

We have just ordered a Kindle Fire for our son, it's not out yet so I haven't had a play but it looks good.

our DD8 wants a kindle for xmas, but also wants a tablet (wishful thinking lol) However, been looking at the new kindle fire and seems she will be able to have the best of both worlds with that... just got to persuade DH now lol
we saw a review on it a while ago on the gadget show when it was only available in the US and it looks really smart
