Devastating news today... UPDATED Page 20

My darling husband has been diagnosed with more cancer today , he was diagnosed 3 years ago with stage 2 Malignant Melanoma skin cancer, he had it cut away and check ups every few months and been fine. He had a routine appointment a couple of weeks ago with the asthma nurse who wasn't happy with his chest, straight to doctor and then sent straight for x ray, soon followed a phone call to see doctor. Doctor sends him off for urgent scan and today we got the results from that from consultant at the hospital. Looks like a melanoma in his chest that has spread to his lungs. He has had to have a biopsy this afternoon to confirm the type of cancer and we are back next Wednesday for the results.
If you can see my countdown you will see that we are less than 9 days away from Florida. The consultant has told us to go and have a great holiday and the Macmillan nurse agreed and they have booked him in for the day after we land to start treatments.
It has been an absolute nightmare of a day and we are going to have a good chat once the kids are off to bed. Not told them yet and will probably wait until after the holiday as it is DS's 16th birthday while we are there so will let them enjoy themselves.
If you are still with me then thanks for reading and letting me get this out, just writing it down is helping with the emotions.

Can I just remind you to let your Insurance company know, with all that you have had to deal with today it will probably have not crossed your mind.
