I'm on my second Panasonic Lumix TZ series compact camera-it's done a great job for when I dont want to lug my big camera around, especially in the parks

good video too

mine is a few years old so not sure what the current ones cost

I've got one of those as well but can't remember the actual number but it does have GPS so it records location data as a phone would.

Sony ZV 1 if you want a compact. Obviously not the image quality of a full mirrorless, but itís good. I had a Panasonic G9 and spent ages weighing up smaller alternatives, there is no perfect one trust me.
ZV1 is based on the RX100 series, but cheaper and as good as the latest RX100 one (certainly for video).
If you get it though also budget another £50 for the Ulanzi stick on wide angle lens. This is a necessity and is very good. It makes the camera a bit bulkier and heavier but makes it much better for Vlogging and general video when image stabilisation is on which crops the image in. The camera has an f1.7 aperture so is reasonable in low light despite the 2/3 sensor.
Personally I am waiting to also see what then pocket 3 is like ( expected November maybe) as there is a possibility they could put the camera or sensor on from the DJI Mini 3 drone which I also have and that would be fabulous as that is very good quality.
I also had a TZ. Good photos but not as good for video, sold that a few years ago.

I was liked this camera when I saw on a YouTube video comparing it to the dji. The photos looked so much better but video wasnít as clear compared to the gimbal .

Itís a decent price though... I may need a bigger bag to pack all the cameras 🤣

The DJI pocket itís pretty good, 2 is better. As I say, the 3 may be very good indeed.

Stabilisation on any compact wont be as good as a pocket. Sensor is bigger though so image quality. (Not counting stabilisation ) is better on the compact than the current DJI Pockets.

I also have a small gimbal for the ZV1, a Crane M2 which is tiny, there is an M3 out now. However, they are always a slight fiddle to set up, which is why Im interested in the Pocket 3 when it comes out, particularly if it has that DJI Mini 3 drone camera on it.

I also have the non stabilised Sony grip which is pretty good, which I got free with the camera. This is the camera with the Ulanzi wide angle on it and Sony grip.

I got a Canon M100 for travelling. It takes superb photos. I don't bother taking my huge DSLR away now, this does the job

Pocket 3 is leaked as being released November. If you donít need one by then I would wait and see what it is like. Thereís talk of a 1 inch sensor on that so it sounds very promising and would be a significant upgrade over the current one. I may press the button if it was a 1 inch sensor.

Pocket 2 owner here. It is discrete and you can as the name suggests keep it in your pocket and use it when you need to. Not advertising all the time you have expensive camera equipment
