Virgin wait time

As there is such demand for holidays and flights why don't virgin put more staff on

2 hours wait times, really

Guessing it's the same as most industries - lack of staff.

They lost a lot of staff trying to stay afloat the past 18 months. Even if they could recruit new ones, they probably lack the budget and training resources to increase it right now.

Issue I have with it is that if it takes them that long to sell you something what happens if you need them after the sale to say move a booking or change it in any way?

I just text them. Tell them what changes I'd like to make and they usually come back to me within a few hours. I've changed my booking multiple times like this as I couldn't listen to Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve any longer.

They have stopped the WhatsApp chat now so calling only way I believe

I just WhatsApp them with what I want to happen to my booking and they come back with options - i reply with one (if it suits) and its confirmed . Easy

BA are far worse, they won't even take calls from existing customers.

Just phone them up, stick it on speaker phone and get on with what you're doing, they'll pick up eventually. BA however, won't.

I don't whatsapp them, I text them. Last used 23rd September - unless it's changed since then?

ETA - text message service available between 9am-5pm and 11pm-7am at the moment (running a reduced service due to overwhelming volume of contact apparently).

It will be lack of budget to recruit additional staff - especially if they are not bringing in new money ( just amending existing bookings)

In my industry ( Insurance) there are lots of call handlers available for sales but next to none for administration and claims
