I never used a harness for walks, but wanted to use one in the car.
Well the little monkey hated being tied up, and ate though every car lead we bought. And the flipping harness if he could get to it.

I bought a dog guard for the boot. He’s happier can just lie down and chill, and i’m happier as I’m not buying leads and harnesses ding dong 😂

Our cars aren’t massive at all. It’s hatchbacks that have the room as the boot is higher. We just take the parcel shelf out and stick a dog guard behind the back seat. Mine is a lab so pretty big. My friend has 2 JRT in a Yaris.

He looked so proud of himself the first time he did it, nibbled his way through the car seat belt 😂

We do it for insurance reasons 25kg Lab in the back of the car if we were unfortunate to have a crash in the car no way would be want an unsecured dog flying around for her safety and ours.

I have a beagle who is very timid and if backs up enough pulling, she can slip out of her K9 harness. Solution - you have a safety collar. The collar is fitted tightly (one finger between skin and collar) this has an attachment with a hook clip that is attached to the harness. You then attach the lead to the harness and then attach the hook clip to the lead and the harness. If the dogs really back up and slip the harness off, its attached to the safety collar and the lead, the harness slips off but the collar wont go over the dogs head, as nits attached to the lead so dog cannot go anywhere. Sounds complicated but so easy to put on and so safe for harness users.

It’s a legal requirement for a dog to be secured as well

Fantastic service from Perfect Fit, they sent first one, was too small so just sent me lots of different parts in different sizes to try and I simply returned the bits I didn’t need! Barney now has a lovely safe soft harness and looks very happy 😊

This dog is the chillest puppy I have ever met….

Grandma loves him!
