La Palma volcanic eruption

I have just been watching the video of this. It looks so scary. Apparently lots of people been evacuated and lava has been seen pouring into peoples homes sadly. It must be heartbreaking for them.
I wonder what the impact will be for the other Canary Islands as the lava could be seen shooting high in the air with a huge ash cloud plume. I was on the verge of booking a few days in Tenerife but think I will hold off for now.

Really feel for people who live there hope they got out safely
I think flights will get stopped for a while like when it happened 10 years ago
Like your yourself we planing on going away in just over two weeks to lanzarote but not sure if that’s likey now

They have been watching for a week as it was expected.
Flights are still operating to tenerife
As far as I know other islands are not at risk from their volcanoes

It doesn’t look that bad.

Let’s just hope it doesn’t create the long forecast La Palma landslide into the ocean which would create a mega tsunami which some scientists speculated would go across the Atlantic and hit the Eastern seaboard of the USA, creating devastation.

However later research has suggested the power from an eruption would not be enough and it won’t happen- finger’s crossed eh
