BA flights - deposit option

I've found some good flight prices with BA and I've read that you can just pay a deposit if you add a night at a hotel. How do you do this please? I've tried adding 1 night as an extra after choosing my flights, and also tried creating a custom trip, but every time I get through to pay, it's wanting the whole price. Can someone share the trick please?

Always done it through custom trip no problem. Have you tried doing it on a different device?

There seems to be a few ways to go into custom trip, maybe one isn't loading the option properly. On the homepage, select Flight and Hotel and then select Custom Trip from there. When I've gone through that link, the deposit option has always been available.

From this screen, highlight the middle square “Flight + hotel” then click on the blue coloured “Create custom trip”.

Thanks everyone. It all worked smoothly in my son's PC and I managed to get them booked, so very happy. Even happier that it was only £150 total deposit as I akways thought it was pp. Probably getting mixed up with the Disney flight package deposit.

Apart from just booking flights, is there a way to book WT going out and WT+ coming back? Tried the fly drive option and custom trip but seems I can only do it if I book just flights. Ideally I want to only pay a deposit

Not in custom trip, no. You'd have to go through BA Holidays (think even then you have to phone to do this) or possibly upgrade the leg later through manage my booking.

Ooh I found a way. Choose flights, then on the page where it give you the price, it offers you the option to add a car. This turns it into a holiday but keeps the flights chosen
