Changing hotel on BA custom trip after booking

Has anyone ever changed a hotel that you've booked as part of a custom trip you made on BA's website, prior to paying the full balance? Or alternatively just cancelled it off the booking (keeping the rest of the flights and hotels)?

We've got a booking with flights + 3 hotels but I want to change 1 of the hotels to a different one (or cancel it and book a different one separately).

I have called BA but apparently the necessary team only work 10 - 6 Monday to Friday so I can't actually ask until tomorrow... so just wondering if anyone has ever done it and it's been relatively simple (I presume no change fees with the current flexible booking policy).

You can do it but some hotels you may need to pay £100 cancellation fee. Will be in your t&c’s. They may waive it but be prepared to pay it.

Thanks, I did read the T&Cs on Manage My Booking but they don't seem to give away much! It's all we 'may' charge you etc. nothing concrete... hopefully they will waive it given the current flexible booking policies.

i'm challenging them on this at present. They cancelled our custom booking so i rebooked and they charged us a £100 fee! I'm struggling to get an answer from them via a complaint.

We want to do the exact same for Feb. We booked 2 nights at cabana bay, 2 at HRH and 3 at sapphire and I want to just do 4 HRH and 3 sapphire now.

Different circumstance but We did alter the October booking we had but we altered our flights and added an extra night at Aventura. No fees and no problem. I phoned the new booking line and they did it.

Let me know how you get on. I think it will be fine under the book with confidence terms and conditions.

I did this over the chat facility changed from cabana bay to sapphire falls suite no bother at all no fees to change either.

Have you checked the email they sent you with new confirmation as they didn't tell me and it appeared in the fees section

No update yet. As usual it’s like a comedy sketch trying to get in touch with BA and either being cut off on the phone or being told their chat is offline and to try again during their business hours - at 11.30 on a Monday morning!
